Bike riders are in for a treat on this year’s Great Vic Bike Ride. The iconic event is set to showcase the best of Gippsland’s rivers, lakes and beaches.
“The Great Vic is a fun, friendly and challenging holiday where you’ll join new and old friends riding through Victoria’s beautiful countryside,” says Caitlin Borchers, Bicycle Network General Manager of Events.
Three thousand riders from Victoria, interstate and overseas are expected to join this year’s Great Vic. At each campsite there’s heaps to enjoy including live music, food trucks, bars, yoga and outdoor cinema.
Those who can’t get away for the week but still want to be part of the fun can join the first five days from Orbost to Sale or enjoy a long weekend for the last three days from Sale to Wonthaggi.
The ride is a rolling bike festival with tent-based accommodation. There is comprehensive on-route support, luggage transfers, entertainment, medical team, bicycle repair facilities and much more.
